FUNNY QUOTES ABOUT LIFE

I've met a lot of hard-boiled eggs in my life, but you - you're 20 minutes. "An old dog can learn new tricks. If your enthusiasm has lost its vitality, do everything possible to revive it." "The only time I don't have any problems in this world is when I am already six feet below the ground."  "When you pray be careful of how you respond to what you get. I read somewhere that if you pray for rain. . . don't complain about the mud!"  "Make allowances for your friends' imperfections as readily as you do for your own." "Make allowances for your friends' imperfections as readily as you do for your own." "To be successful, regardless of the field, one needs to be a participant in the field of battle, rather than a spectator." "Goal setting is similar to travelling from point A to point B within a city. If you clearly understand what the goal is, you will definitely reach the destination b

WELSH PROVERBS

A willful fault has no excuse, and deserves no pardon.  Three things give us hardy strength: sleeping on hairy mattresses, breathing cold air, and eating dry food.  Without  perseverance  talent is a barren bed.  The best candle is understanding.  Be honorable yourself if you wish to associate with honorable people.  Adversity  comes with instruction in his hand.  Your hand is never the worse for doing its own work.  If every man would sweep his own door-step the city would soon be clean.  Adversity and loss make a man wise.  Conscience is the nest where all good is hatched.  A watched clock never tells the  time .  The advice of the aged will not mislead you.  A warm January; a cold May.

SCOTTISH PROVERBS

Never let your feet run faster than your shoes.  Be  happy  while you're living, For you're a long time dead.  What may be done at any  time  will be done at no time.  Learn young, learn fair; learn old, learn more.  Get what you can and keep what you have; that's the way to get rich.  Willful waste makes woeful want.  When the heart is full the tongue will speak.  Be slow in choosing a  friend  but slower in changing him.  Fools look to tomorrow. Wise men use tonight.  Confessed faults are half mended.  They that will not be counselled cannot be helped.  They that sow the wind, shall reap the whirlwind.  Luck  never gives; it only lends.  Better be ill spoken of by one before all than by all before one.  Take care of your pennies and your dollars will take care of themselves.

WHO OR WHAT DO WE LOVE MORE

A man was polishing his new car; his 4 yr old daughter picked up a stone and scratched on the side of the car. In anger, the furious Man took his child’s hand & hit it many times, not realizing he was using a wrench. At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures. When the child saw her father, with painful eyes he asked ‘Dad when will my fingers grow back?’ The man was so hurt and speechless. He went back to the car and kicked it many times. Devastated by his own actions, sitting in front of the car he looked at the scratches, His daughter had written ‘LOVE YOU DAD’. MORAL LESSON :  Remember, Anger and Love have no limit.  Always remember that “Things are to be used and people are to be loved”.  But the problem in today’s world is that “People are being used & Things are being loved”.

ITALIAN PROVERBS

Anger  can be an expensive luxury.  Better give a penny then lend twenty.  Give  time  time.  Necessity becomes will.  The  habit  doesn't make a monk.  One who sleeps doesn't catch fish.  Silence was never written down.  The liar needs a good  memory .  Better one day as a lion than a hundred as a sheep.  A forced  kindness  deserves no thanks.  He who starts well is half way done.  Better an egg today than a chicken tomorrow  Give neither counsel nor salt till you are asked for it.  Who offends writes on sand; who is offended, on marble.  Between saying and doing many a pair of shoes is worn out.  Silence gives consent.  People in glass houses should not throw stones.  A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.  A fool and his money are soon parted.  He who does nothing, does not  fail .  Barking dogs don't bite.  Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.  There is no appeal from time past.  There are not two without three.  He who finds a  friend , finds a treas

ENGLISH PROVERBS

Many hands make light  work .  A bad penny always turns up.  An apple a day keeps the doctor away.  Actions  speak louder than words.  You are never to old to learn.  A bicycle can't stand on its own because it's two-tired.  A stumble may prevent a fall.  If you want to judge a man's  character , give him power.  If wishes were horses beggars might ride.  Everyone must row with the oars he has.  A stitch in  time  saves nine.  Sticks and stones will break my bones, but names will never hurt me.  A man is as old as he feels himself to be.  It's a blessing in disguise.  Least said is soonest mended.

FRENCH PROVERBS

A stitch in  time  saves nine.  A rolling stone gathers no moss.  Learning is there for every man.  Beauty , unaccompanied by virtue, is as a flower without perfume.  A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.  Friends  are lost by calling often and calling seldom.  An apple a day keeps the doctor away.  He is rich enough who owes nothing.  A fault once denied, is twice committed.  A great estate is not gotten in a few hours.  Don't find fault with what you don't understand.  Adversity  makes a man wise.  It is not enough to run, one must start in time.  Better to be seen alone than in bad company.  Better to wear out than rust out.  No news is good news.  Easy to say is hard to do.  Gentleness does more than violence.  If  wishes  were horses, beggars would ride.

MOTHER'S SACRIFICE

My mom only had one eye. I hated her… she was such an embarrassment. My mom ran a small shop at a flea market. She collected little weeds and such to sell… anything for the money we needed she was such an embarrassment. There was this one day during elementary school. I remember that it was field day, and my mom came. I was so embarrassed. How could she do this to me? I threw her a hateful look and ran out. The next day at school… “Your mom only has one eye?!” and they taunted me. I wished that my mom would just disappear from this world so I said to my mom, “Mom, why don’t you have the other eye?! You’re only going to make me a laughingstock. Why don’t you just die?” My mom did not respond. I guess I felt a little bad, but at the same time, it felt good to think that I had said what I’d wanted to say all this time. Maybe it was because my mom hadn’t punished me, but I didn’t think that I had hurt her feelings very badly. That night… I woke up, and went to the kitchen to get a

If you don't stand for something, you will fall for something. A cutting word is worse than a bowstring, a cut may heal, but the cut of the tongue does not.  If you climb up a tree, you must climb down the same tree.  It is not what you are called, but what you answer to.  A chattering bird builds no nest.  When a needle falls into a deep well, many people will look into the well, but few will be ready to go down after it.  For tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.  To try and to  fail  is not laziness.  If you offend, ask for a pardon; if offended  forgive .  A good deed is something one returns.  A  family  is like a forest, when you are outside it is dense, when you are inside you see that each tree has it's place.  He who learns,  teaches .  Sticks in a bundle are unbreakable.  It is not  work  that kills, but  worry .  Seeing is different than being told.  There is no medicine to cure hatred.  If you're not part of the solution, you're part of

UNTIL DEATH DO US APART

When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I’ve got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.  Suddenly I didn’t know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly. She didn’t seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?  I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn’t talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Jane. I didn’t love her anymore. I just pitied her! With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company.  She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life

CHINESE PROVERBS

A little impatience will spoil great plans.  A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.  If you bow at all, bow low.  A smile will gain you ten more years of  life .  A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song.  A  book  holds a house of gold.  Talk does not cook rice.  Experience  is a comb which nature gives us when we are bald.  Be not afraid of growing slowly, be afraid only of standing still.  Behave toward everyone as if receiving a guest.  A fall into a ditch makes you wiser.  Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without one.  He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.  An inch of  time  is an inch of gold but you can't buy that inch of time with an inch of gold.  A closed mind is like a closed book; just a block of wood  Better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.  A needle is not sharp at both ends.  Even a hare will bite when it is cornered.

THE WHITE ELEPHANT

Once upon a time, there lived a herd of eighty thousand elephants at the bottom of the majestic Himalayas. Their leader was a magnificent and rare white elephant who was an extremely kind-hearten soul. He greatly loved his mother who had grown blind and feeble and could not look out for herself. Each day this white elephant would go deep into the forest in search of food. He would look for the best of wild fruit to send to his mother. But alas, his mother never received any. This was because his messengers would always eat them up themselves. Each night, when he returned home he would be surprised to hear that his mother had been starving all day. He was absolutely disgusted with his herd. Then one day, he decided to leave them all behind and disappeared in the middle of the night along with his dear mother. He took her to Mount Candorana to live in a cave beside a beautiful lake that was covered by gorgeous pink lotuses. It so happened that one day, when the white elephant was

SMARTEST MAN IN THE WORLD

A doctor, a lawyer, a little boy and a priest were out for a Sunday afternoon flight on a small private plane. Suddenly, the plane developed engine trouble. In spite of the best efforts of the pilot, the plane started to go down. Finally, the pilot grabbed a parachute and yelled to the passengers that they better jump, and he himself bailed out. Unfortunately, there were only three parachutes remaining. The doctor grabbed one and said “I’m a doctor, I save lives, so I must live,” and jumped out. The lawyer then said, “I’m a lawyer and lawyers are the smartest people in the world. I deserve to live.” He also grabbed a parachute and jumped. The priest looked at the little boy and said, “My son, I’ve lived a long and full life. You are young and have your whole life ahead of you. Take the last parachute and live in peace.” The little boy handed the parachute back to the priest and said, “Not to worry Father. The smartest man in the world just took off with my back pack.” MOR

LEARN TO APPRECIATE

Once upon a time, there was a man who was very helpful, kindhearted, and generous. He was a man who will help someone without asking anything to pay him back. He will help someone because he wants to and he loves to.  One day while walking into a dusty road, this man saw a purse, so he picked it up and noticed that the purse was empty. Suddenly a woman with a policeman shows up and gets him arrested. The woman kept on asking where did he hide her money but the man replied, “It was empty when I found it, Ma.” The woman yelled at him, “Please give it back, It’s for my son’s school fees.”  The man noticed that the woman really felt sad, so he handed all his money.  He could say that the woman was a single mother.  The man said, “Take these, sorry for the inconvenience.”  The woman left and policeman held he man for further questioning. The woman was very happy but when she counted her money later on, it was doubled, she was shocked.  One day while woman was going to pay her son’s sc

JAPANESE PROVERBS

Let what is past flow away downstream.  Adversity  is the foundation of virtue.  You can know ten things by learning one.  Ten men, ten minds.  When you're thirsty it's too late to think about digging a well.  Fall down seven times, get up eight.  When the  character  of a man is not clear to you, look at his friends.  Better to be a crystal and to be broken, than to be a tile upon the housetop.  One kind word can warm three winter months.  Gossip  about a person and his shadow will appear.  There are no national frontiers to learning.  Everyone makes  mistakes . That's why there is an eraser on every pencil.  A round egg can be made square according to how you cut it; words would be harsh according to how you speak them.  If you wait, there will come nectar - like fair weather.  Wisdom  and virtue are like the two wheels of a cart.  The reverse side also has a reverse side.  Proof rather than argument.  An ant hole may collapse an embankment.  Time  flies like an arrow.

THE CRACKED POT

“A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master’s house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his master’s house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do. After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. “I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you. “Why?” asked the bearer. “What are you ashamed of?” “I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver

NEVER TO GIVE UP

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided the animal was old and the well needed to be covered up anyway it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey. He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and begin to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well and was astonished at what he saw. With every shovel of dirt that fell on his back, the donkey was doing some thing amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and totted off! MORAL LESSON :  Life is going to shovel di

STRUGGLES OF OUR LIFE

Once upon a time a daughter complained to her father that her life was miserable and that she didn’t know how she was going to make it. She was tired of fighting and struggling all the time. It seemed just as one problem was solved, another one soon followed. Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Once the three pots began to boil, he placed potatoes in one pot, eggs in the second pot and ground coffee beans in the third pot. He then let them sit and boil, without saying a word to his daughter. The daughter, moaned and impatiently waited, wondering what he was doing. After twenty minutes he turned off the burners. He took the potatoes out of the pot and placed them in a bowl. He pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. He then ladled the coffee out and placed it in a cup. Turning to her, he asked. “Daughter, what do you see?” “Potatoes, eggs and coffee,” she hastily replied. “Look closer”, he said, “and
